What would you do if the storm around you was louder than the voice calling you forward? In Matthew 14, Peter does something no other disciple dared—he steps out of the boat and walks on water toward Jesus. Pastor Kendall draws us into this moment not to celebrate Peter's boldness alone, but to sit honestly with his humanity. Peter knew who Jesus was before many others did, and yet he still sank. He still denied. He still swung a sword in fear. And still, Jesus reached out His hand. Pastor Kendall's unique insight cuts deep: human moments don't automatically mean sin—what matters is where we fix our focus when those moments arrive. Fear can lead to faith or to collapse. Anger can birth sin or holy conviction. Loneliness can drive us into isolation or into intentional communion with God. As Hebrews 11:6 reminds us, "And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." Church, recognize your patterns before the storm hits. Step out of the boat—eyes on Jesus—today.
